Rebekah Workman currently specializes in weddings in Oklahoma and Texas, focusing on documenting the day by telling a story through dynamic images.
Rebekah grew up in Dallas, Texas, and rural Oklahoma. In an effort to see the world, Rebekah joined the Navy and by a crazy twist of events became a Navy Corpsman and worked in several different hospitals and with the marines for 6 years before deciding to go back to school where she discovered a love for photojournalism.
After being in the military, Rebekah was drawn to war photography. She longed for a camera for years and finally her mother just bought one for her in the summer of 2005. Rebekah earned her B.A. with a concentration in visual journalism from the University of Texas at Arlington. While attending school, she worked for the student publication The Shorthorn as a photo editor/photographer. Following graduation, she worked for the Temple Daily Telegram in Temple, Texas.
Life, and family, brought Rebekah back to Oklahoma, and now she dedicates most of her time photographing weddings. She is passionate and hard-working and enjoys the challenge that shooting a wedding brings. As a documentary photographer, Rebekah works to capture moments as they happen, without interceding. She does allow for some time to shoot portraits that compliment you.
She has earned awards with the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
